Our businesses are leaders in the provision of support services to the fishing industry and in pelagic fish processing.
Fishing at sea can be tough, challenging work. To help skippers upgrade to modern, efficient boats – or to help them secure their first fishing vessel – We invests in boats and quota, together with the skipper. Currently we have investments in over 20 fishing companies and partnerships. We also help skippers market their catch and manage the commercial administration of running a fishing business, as well as supplying chandlery provisions needed to run a fishing boat. In essence, working with Fish selling, skippers can focus on their true passion - landing a quality catch.
DS Fishing And Marine Ltd processes pelagic fish caught from sustainable fisheries in the rich waters of the North East Atlantic. Principally mackerel, herring and the delicacy herring roe are processed at our quayside plant in Peterhead, Europe’s largest fishing port. Our factory is supplied primarily by the boats that are owned by our partners, who own four modern pelagic trawlers. Our customers expect high quality fish products with full traceability and we consistently meet their expectations by working collaboratively with our fishing partners, combined with stringent quality standards and controls.
Our Story
DS Fishing And Marine Ltd was established in 2016 to promote and sell wholesale and retail seafood initially to customers in the North East of Scotland and in time expanding throughout Scotland.. A large percentage of this is exported abroad to countries throughout Europe such as France, Spain and Italy.
Our goal at the DS Fishing And Marine Ltd is to make prime quality seafood landed at Peterhead more accessible to the Scottish consumer and to encourage a younger generation to develop a love for our local, healthy and wholesome bounty that is Scottish seafood!
